The Challenge
Why Wasser
The Lewis and Clark Bridge is a cantilever bridge crossing the Columbia River between Rainier, Oregon and Longview, Washington. The bridge is a complex superstructure with a steel beam lattice design that required cleaning, repairs, rust removal and painting to ensure structural protection for year to come. Surface preparations used were SSPS SP 10 Near White Blast. The contractors applied five coats of bridge paint in historic Washington Grey color. Renovations were completed fall 2013.
