Statoil, West Virginia

Statoil (now known as Equinor), is involved in shale gas and oil exploration in the Marcellus Shale region of West Virginia. In 2014, a well pad site in West Virginia caught fire. This fire set the stage to form a plan for a strict environmental safety measures, including runoff and prevent ground contamination. Wasser Coatings provided Geo membrane liners for Statoil's well pads to prevent soil contamination during drilling and well completion.
