The Challenge

At a Royal Navy fuel containment tank in Singapore, exposure to petroleum products, constant humidity, and elevated temperatures created a highly aggressive environment. Existing conditions increased the risk of leakage and environmental contamination, making reliable containment essential. The objective was to establish a durable protective barrier that could withstand chemical exposure while minimizing downtime during application.

Why Wasser

Wasser Technologies was chosen for its strong performance in chemical containment and marine environments. Its coating systems are engineered to resist fuels and hydrocarbons while maintaining integrity under harsh conditions. Fast-curing characteristics and proven reliability made it a practical solution for a project where both performance and efficiency were critical.

Wasser's Solution

Wasser implemented a multi-layer system using MC-Ferrox B as the primer, followed by Polyflex 202 as a seamless membrane. This combination formed a robust, impermeable barrier designed to contain fuel and prevent further leakage. The completed system delivers long-term protection and allows the structure to operate safely within a demanding service environment.
