PROJECT NAME Canal Bridge Concrete Walls

The Challenge

The 65N (Tower Road) bridge over the Idaho Canal needed a protective finish for newly placed concrete exposed to water, freeze-thaw cycles, and roadway contaminants. At the same time, the Idaho DOT wanted to maintain the natural architectural appearance of the formed concrete while minimizing long-term maintenance.

Why Wasser

Wasser was chosen for its clear coating systems that protect without altering the look of the substrate. MC-Clear 100 provides strong sealing performance, while MC-Antigraffiti 100 adds an extra layer of protection against staining and vandalism, supporting a clean, low-maintenance structure.

Wasser's Solution

JM Concrete applied one coat of MC-Clear 100 with a custom tint to enhance and unify the concrete, followed by MC-Antigraffiti 100 Clear. The system delivers a breathable barrier that resists moisture, staining, and graffiti, resulting in a durable, consistent finish along the canal crossing.
